Victoria Smith is a fourth year pharmacy student at the University of Minnesota. She has served as the Performance Co-Chair of the Phillips Neighborhood Clinic and on the board of the CLARION student organization. She acted as the student case writer for the 2019 CLARION competition. Victoria plans to pursue residency and a career in internal medicine with a focus on interprofessional patient care.

Workshop Description:Case studies are a powerful learning tool for self-directed learning and exploration and can stimulate sharing ideas between individuals with different professional backgrounds. Both writing cases in an interprofessional team and analyzing cases in an interprofessional team provide an intensive teamwork experience. Background: Fourteen health professional programs at the University of Minnesota Academic Health Center participate in a student-run free clinic, the Phillips Neighborhood Clinic (PNC). The PNC operates two nights each week and offers comprehensive clinical services, including medications and labs at no cost to patients.
