For the past seven years, Terrie Fritz, LCSW, has been a Clinical Instructor with the Anne and Henry Zarrow School of Social Work. She focusses on teaching social work practice in healthcare and human development. In 2012, she obtained funding to launch the Center for Social Work in Healthcare. She recently concluded a very successful SAMHSA supported SBIRT training initiative, training over 1750 students in the nursing, social work medicine, dentistry and physician assistant training programs over three years. She has over 40 years of professional experience in healthcare and social work.
Presenting at the Nexus Summit:
The purpose of this presentation is to discuss the current interprofessional curriculum model at a comprehensive academic health center. This curriculum proposes a structured academic and clinical progression of mandatory and elective didactic and experiential learning related to IPEC competencies required to prepare students for interprofessional practice and to meet departmental accreditation standards.
