Susan E. Skochelak, MD is Chief Academic Officer and Group Vice President for Medical Education at the American Medical Association. She leads the Accelerating Change in Medical Education initiative to align physician training and education with the fast-evolving health care system by funding innovative projects at medical schools. Prior to her work at the AMA, Dr. Skochelak was a professor of family medicine and senior associate dean for academic affairs at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. In 2015, she was inducted into the National Academy of Medicine for her leadership in medical education innovation.
