Sharon Pelekanos, MHS, PA-C is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physician Assistant Studies at the University of South Alabama. She has over 11 years of experience as a PA in Neurosurgery and transitioned to didactic faculty in 2016. As Course Director, she has extensive experience with the use of online and classroom technology to enhance student engagement. She has actively pursued interprofessional projects and team based learning for her students. She collaborates with faculty from multiple disciplines to broaden the students’ understanding of the healthcare team. She is an active Board Member at Large in her state society for PAs.
