Dr. Prabalini Rajendram is a board-certified Critical Care Physician in the department of Critical Care Medicine in the Respiratory Institute at Cleveland Clinic and Clinical Assistant Professor of Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine (CCLCM) of Case Western Reserve University (CWRU). She is the Co-Director of Interprofessional Scholars Collaboration in Teaching and Learning at CWRU, Associate Director of Interprofessional Education at CCLCM, member of the Cleveland Clinic Pulmonary Critical Care Fellowship Clinical Competency Committee and the leader for Cleveland Clinic’s physician onboarding series To Act as a Unit; Professionalism course. Teaching collaborative care team skills to students is an on-going challenge. At Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) a program has been developed which places early learner student teams in clinical and community settings, known as Interprofessional Learning Experience and Practice (ILEAP). The student teams, like professional health care teams, do not remember to stop to huddle or regularly give each other feedback.
