Megan McNamara, MD, MS

Dr. Megan McNamara is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and the Physician Director for the Transforming Outpatient Primary Care Center of Excellence at the VA Northeast Ohio Regional Healthcare System. She graduated from the University of Pittsburgh Medical School. Dr. McNamara subsequently completed her internship, residency, and fellowship in General Internal Medicine at UPMC, and received her Master’s Degree in Clinical Research from the University of Pittsburgh Medical School. Her areas of interest and expertise include curricular development, evidence-based practice, women’s health, and LGBT care.

Background: The Framework for Action on Interprofessional Education and Collaborative Practice (WHO, 2010), and an increasing number of publications thereafter, have identified the need for collaborative practice to strengthen health-care systems and ensure the highest quality of care for patients.
