Mariette Sourial, PharmD, is an Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice and Director of Interprofessional Education at Palm Beach Atlantic University, Lloyd L. Gregory School of Pharmacy. Her practice site focuses on Transitions of Care, and she teaches in a variety of courses in the pharmacotherapy, case studies, and critical pharmacy knowledge series. She serves as a member of the curriculum and assessment committee, and co-leads the Objective Structured Clinical Examination in the third professional year. She is currently the chair of the IPE committee, overseeing the interprofessional education program and the students’ achievement of the interprofessional education collaborative core competencies.
Presenting at the Nexus Summit:
As healthcare moves towards team-based care, accrediting bodies of health professional schools have facilitated interprofessional education and collaboration. Although there has been progress in curricular development, schools still face challenges, especially those without academic health centers. In this program, we explore how schools from different universities can build strategic partnerships for interprofessional education and practice.
