Mari Tucker. B.S., M.B.A., currently serves as the Washburn University Partnership Liaison for the Registered nurse Education for a Nurse-Led Enhanced Workforce (RENEW) grant, federally funded through the Health Resource and Services Administration (HRSA). Ms. Tucker was the former Director of the Office of Sponsored Projects at Washburn University and has held Director level positions at the Kansas Board of Regents and North Central Kansas Technical College. She currently serves as the Chair of the Pine Ridge Family Health Center Advisory Board and is a collaborator in the Kansas Patients and Providers Engaged in Prevention Research (KPPEPR) organization.

Interprofessional education is foundational to creating a health care team prepared to improve patient outcomes, however, patients and families are often absent from the educational setting.
