Heather Mead Kim is the 1Health Operations Director, providing coordination to support the ongoing development of the interprofessional education curriculum for University of Minnesota health professions students. Her responsibilities include development and implementation of interprofessional initiatives, oversight of 1Health data management and tracking, evaluation and assessment planning, and convening strategic partnerships - all of which contribute to the overall mission of interprofessional and community-based education.

The 2019 Health Professions Accreditors Collaborative (HPAC) and National Center for Interprofessional Practice and Education (NCIPE) best-practice guidelines recommend that institutions deliberately design the interprofessional education (IPE) curriculum to include intentionally created and sequenced longitudinal learning experiences that are integrated into existing professional program curricula.
