Dr. Pfeifle is Founding Director, Indiana University's Interprofessional Practice and Education Center and Associate Dean, Interprofessional Health Education and Practice. She is a physical therapist, educator, community activist, and strategic executive leader who advances IPECP by working across universities, health care organizations, and communities to develop solutions to challenges facing today's health care. She is an active member of the American Interprofessional Health Collaborative and Chair of the National Academies of Practice Physical Therapy Academy.

Although interprofessional education (IPE) continues to gain momentum in health professions’ classroom and simulated environments, interprofessional values taught at undergraduate and pre-professional levels are often lost once learners enter the clinical environment.
