Interprofessional Student Teams Health Assessments for Refugees: Lessons Learned as Principal Investigator/Project Director

This project “Idaho Senior Refugee Interprofessional Holistic Health Project”, funded by the Nurse Education, Practice, Quality, and Retention Program: Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Award No. 1 UD7HP28528-01-00 was a four year project with interprofessional student teams delivering health assessments to the refugee population. The presentation will discuss the lessons learned while serving as project director, including strategies that worked and strategies that could be enhanced for student, preceptor, interpreter, and faculty involvement to facilitate overall student learning and Refugee health.
